Professional Development School

  • Lincoln Elementary became a Professional Development School in partnership with Kansas State University in August, 2002.  A Professional Development School (PDS) is collaborative relationship between a public school and a university teacher education program with a focus on simultaneous improvement of both organizations.
  •          The ultimate goal is to help K-12 students achieve high academic standards while providing enhanced preparation of both future and practicing teachers.  Teachers and administrators in local schools work with university faculty in a variety of school improvement restructuring efforts, including curriculum development, program evaluation, professional development, and collaborative action research projects.

  • Mrs. Clark  provides one-to-one tutoring in 20 minute blocks of time.  Tutoring supports classroom instruction.  Paulette is a certified teacher who also teaches a 90 minute reading group.
